Bacalar, translates to the Lagoon of 7 Colors. While in Bacalar, you may visit: Cenote Azul, the Fort of San Felipe and/or the museum, the “Canal de Los Pirates” with its healing sulfuric mud, (only by boat), swim, visit Los Rapidos, take photos and enjoy the breathtaking views lakeside while you try some freshly made local foods.
Living stromatolite colonies, appear similar to coral, but are extremely rare and exist in just a few places in the world. The ones in the lagoon area are a relatively new to the landscape, dating back to the Holocene era, which began about 12,000 years ago.
Wear your swimsuits and decide what type of awesome adventure you wish to have in this unique area of the Bacalar Lagoon and Yucatan cenote system.

MEETING INSTRUCTIONS
Upon port arrival, exit the ship, walk or take the tram across the dock to the port shopping area, walk through the shopping area, exit the port and walk along the street to the taxi cab hub. A greeter that speaks English and Spanish will be near the Costa Maya Tours taxis. Please give him your voucher. We will return you to the same location.

Food, water, and various types of drinks are available for purchase. Please bring cash for this, as well as for other activities or fees.
Please dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes.
RESTRICTIONS:
- This tour is best appreciated by children ages 5 and older.
- The museum at Fort San Felipe is closed on Mondays.
